FAQ

Is this image resizer free?

Yes. Unlimited use, no signup, no watermark on exports. Processing stays in your browser.

Do you upload my photos?

No. The file is read locally with Canvas APIs. Nothing is sent to Kamero servers.

What formats work?

JPG, PNG, and WebP. Export as JPG, PNG, or WebP after resizing.

Can I lock aspect ratio?

Yes. Enable lock aspect ratio so height follows width (or vice versa) using the original proportions.

Is this better than uploading to a cloud resizer?

For private client work, yes. Browser-only resizing avoids sending wedding or corporate photos to a third-party server.

What size should I use for Instagram?

Feed posts are often 1080px wide. For exact social aspect ratios, use the free social media cropper; use this resizer when you need custom pixels.

When to use a free image resizer

Photographers and event teams resize photos for websites, Instagram, WhatsApp status, email signatures, and client previews. Exact pixel control matters when a portal rejects oversized uploads or when you need a consistent gallery grid. Kamero’s resizer runs in your browser so client photos never leave the device.

Resize without uploading to a server

Cloud resizers upload your file, process it, then send it back. That creates privacy risk for wedding and corporate shoots under NDA. This tool uses HTML Canvas locally: drop a JPG, PNG, or WebP, set width and height (with optional aspect lock), and download. Nothing is stored on Kamero servers.

Best practices for web and social

For web heroes, target 1600–2400px on the long edge. For Instagram feed posts, 1080px wide is typical. Export WebP when the site supports it for smaller files, or JPG for maximum compatibility. Pair with our compressor or compress-to-KB tool when a form also enforces a file-size limit.
