Can I convert JPG to PNG?

What about HEIC from iPhone?

Is WebP supported?
Yes for both input and output in modern Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.
Will transparency survive JPG export?
No. JPEG has no alpha channel. Transparent areas become a white background when you export JPG.
Is the converter free?

PNG to WebP — when should I?
Use WebP for smaller web delivery when browsers support it. Keep PNG when you need maximum compatibility for print or older apps.
When to convert JPG, PNG, or WebP
JPG suits photos and continuous tone. PNG keeps sharp edges and transparency for logos and cutouts. WebP often wins on size for modern browsers. Converting in your browser avoids uploading client galleries to a third-party converter.
Transparency and JPEG limits
JPEG cannot store alpha. Converting a transparent PNG to JPG fills the background (typically white). Keep PNG or WebP when you need a clear background for product shots or social stickers.
