Kamero Admin for Windows & Mac: Bulk Upload Event Photos Without a Browser Tab
The desktop photo uploader photographers asked for is live on both platforms — with the full Kamero dashboard inside it.
Event photographers do not lose hours in Lightroom. They lose them in a browser tab that has to stay open while 4,000 edited JPEGs crawl to the gallery. Close the laptop, lose Wi-Fi, or let the PC sleep, and the upload stalls. That is a delivery problem, not a shooting problem.
Kamero Admin, the Kamero desktop app, is now available for Windows and Mac. It is a free download. You sign in with the same account as login.kamero.ai. Photos use the same upload credits as the web dashboard.
Download Kamero Admin for Windows or Mac. Windows installation notes live in the Windows PC guide.
What the desktop app does that the web dashboard cannot
Same events, albums, QR codes, watermarks, Kam-Sync accounts, Sell Photos orders and reports. Five things only the desktop app adds:
- One-shot folder upload. Pick one parent folder. Each subfolder becomes an album named after it. The whole event queues in one go — no creating albums one by one and no selecting files in batches.
- Background upload. The queue runs while you edit, answer clients, or pack the kit. No browser tab has to stay open.
- Auto-resume. Quit the app, restart the computer, or lose Wi-Fi. The queue is saved on disk. When you reopen Kamero Admin and sign in, files that already reached Kamero are marked done; the rest resume. Nothing is uploaded twice.
- Up to ~10x faster uploads than the browser, by Kamero's internal measure — not an independent benchmark. Real speed depends on your connection, file sizes and computer. The app uploads 8 to 16 photos in parallel.
- Bulk download. Download All saves every album into folders on your computer. The web dashboard sends a download link by email instead.

A wedding weekend, one parent folder
Export the event as one folder with one subfolder per album — Haldi, Mehendi, Sangeet, Wedding, Reception. In Kamero Admin, open the event, choose One Shot Original Upload, pick the parent folder, check the preview, and start. Five albums are created and filled. Guests still find themselves with a selfie through AI face recognition.
One-shot uploads originals (2 credits per photo, up to 50 MB each). Hidden files such as Thumbs.db, desktop.ini and macOS ._ files are skipped. Nested folders more than one level deep are not scanned — keep one level of album folders.
Need Standard quality (1 credit) or a single album? Drag that folder into the album instead. Files over 50 MB that the browser compresses or skips can go up as standard uploads from the desktop app. Sell Photos events accept files up to 100 MB.
Where it sits next to Kam-Sync
Kam-Sync sends photos from the camera during the event. The desktop app is for the edited set afterwards. You can manage Kam-Sync camera accounts from Kamero Admin. They are not substitutes.
Live previews during the reception, then an overnight bulk upload of the selects, is the workflow we recommend in how to upload thousands of wedding photos overnight.
Install once, update in the app
- Windows: run
Kamero_Admin.exe. If SmartScreen warns, choose More info, then Run anyway, when you downloaded from the desktop app page or your dashboard. - Mac: open the .dmg and drag Kamero Admin into Applications. If macOS blocks it, allow it in System Settings → Privacy & Security, or right-click and choose Open.
Kamero Admin tells you when an update is ready. The buttons on the download page always point at the latest release.
